I personally don't but I could see how it would be possible to have damaged auditory areas in the brain or the auditory nerve itself.  How long ago was the TBI?  Has this been occurring since the TBI?  All of our senses are neurologically based but I think I would need more info...  I know you're not asking for a specific diagnosis but...  swimrx

It was 12 years ago and the doc`s have no record of my problems with the ringing now I had my hearing checked and they felt I needed hearing aids but our Workers Compensation Board feels it is not due to the accident but older age and load noises. I think I will need help to prove to them that it was I just did not take that close notice of it. And it is a 5000 dollar bill so they will not be to fast to pay that out. Help!

My 37 year old daughter has blood accumalating on the brain. She was shot 5 times by her x-husband and he also hit her over the head with a full wine bottle. She has no medical and she makes too much in unemployment for DSHS to give her any help. She has 3 chidren 2 by one father and one by another. She is afraid that even if she had surgery the 2 fathers would try to take my grandkids away. She's afraid that if she has surgery she would end up crazy. She lives everyday in so much pain. We are in Washington State. If I can get a surgeon that would help her in geting better and donate his time, then I can handle taking care of the chidren. Can anybody help us?

with regards to the ringing in the ears, i have ringing in my left ear.  Have had since my accident 4 years ago.  I was in a quadding accident and I cracked my head on the left.  Have seen a ENT and he said it happened from my accident.  It damanged the "little hairs" in my ear (sorry I can't recall exactly what the name is) and that is why I am deaf and have ringing in the ear.  He suggested i get a hearing aid to see if that helped.  It didn't stop all of the ringing in that ear but it has helped.  I know what you are going through and it is so frustating.

Thank-you maybe our Workers Compensation board will believe me. If so they should pay the 5000 Canadian dollars for the hearing aids. Thanks again.  Harold
